.... Welcome... just before you
start going through this mass of useless information, please be aware that
this site uses Dynamic HTML to make things a little more interesting. To
view all the little enhancements you'll need Microsoft Internet Explorer 4
or 5. With that in mind, on with the useless facts...
.... I live in Johannesburg
South Africa and work for a leading Internet Service Provider doing
internal application, intranet and web development. I've just completed an
NDIP in Information Technology. Computers have been a part of my life for
many many years and will probably remain that way for a long time to come.
Of the many aspects to computing, I enjoy graphic art, programming and the
online "world".
.... My intrest in programming
began during my first years at primary school. Although it was a very
simple form of programming, Logo was what got me started. Today I program
mainly in Visual Baisc, VBScript, C and variants thereof; including Perl
and JavaScript. Borland Pascal was the language I cut my teeth on and I
occasionaly dabble with Delphi.
.... My intrest in the "online
world" began during the days of BBSes and has since moved on into the
world of The Internet. A large amount of my time online is spent on IRC;
which stands for Internet Relay Chat. I've been IRC'ing for a number of
years now and have been running a network with a few friends, called
ShadowFire [http://www.bourabai.narod.ru/], for
a few years too. Another network I frequent is the
ZAnet IRC network [http://www.bourabai.narod.ru/],
where I can be found in the channel
